Reading a credit committee’s silence

Silence after submission is stressful. It is also frequently mundane: someone inside the bank is waiting on an internal clarification about a missing attachment or a figure that does not reconcile.

What silence often means

  • Operations asked for a cleaner extract
  • The analyst is reconciling schedules
  • A guarantor page needs a wet signature
  • Collateral insurance dates look wrong

These are the issues an independent application audit is designed to surface while you still control the calendar.

What silence does not always mean

A quiet week is not proof the credit story failed. Nor is a quick reply proof the file was perfect. Treat process signals carefully; ask your relationship contact what is pending before rewriting the entire narrative.

If you are still pre-submission, a Full File Audit remains the most thorough way we know to reduce the paperwork reasons for delay.
